A big powerful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon which has been barrel aged for 2 years and was bottled in 2000.
The wine is actually a 1998 vintage.  This wine has beautiful developing characteristics like leather & spice. 
The bottle is beautifully painted with a picture of white flowers on it, making it a nice gift for someone.

Aroma of good intensity, the wood predominating slightly though well

Quinta de Macedos 2000, Douro – PORTUGAL                                                                           £19.50
A wine with long aging potential made from low yielding vines, meaning that the fruits are extremely
concentrated.  A blend of up to 16 grape varieties including Touriga Franca, native Portuguese grape variety. 
Only 3,500 bottles produced per vintage, of these only 2,800 are released into the market.

The one wine to be listed from outside the Medoc in the 1855 Classification.  A supple, stylish, medium to full
bodied wine which has surprisingly dense flavours for the weight with chocolate and violet characteristics.
